Nanotechnology is new and hot. This formerly arcane academic field is finding application in everything from cosmetics, to drug delivery to transistors. There is money to be made and applications are expanding so rapidly, one can't keep up. In electronics and medicine, it is revolutionary. Because this field is so hot, it is extremely competitive. Just do a google search! Reviewing the millions of hits is impossible.
